Recognizing and Managing Diseases of the Leg: A Self-Study Program
Welcome to Recognizing and Managing Diseases of the Leg: a Self-Study Program!
These CME-certified activities are sponsored by Professional Postgraduate Services®
and are a part of the Biology of Leg Disorders (BOLD®) educational
initiative.
The goal of these activities is to help you, the user, increase and sustain knowledge
on myriad disorders that manifest in the leg, including peripheral arterial disease,
restless legs syndrome, osteoarthritis, nocturnal leg cramps, and diabetic neuropathy.
A methodology called Confidence-Based Learning™ (CBL) provides
the foundation for these intriguing CME-certified activities. CBL is a web-based
program, developed by Knowledge Factor, Inc., that provides a self-paced approach
to learning that quickly builds your knowledge and retention by customizing your
learning path and reinforcing confidence in your knowledge. Through a single-step
process, the CBL system measures both your knowledge and confidence, then categorizes
your results from each question into one of four categories: Mastery, Doubts,
Uninformed, and Misinformed. The CBL then fills your knowledge
and confidence gaps with surgical precision, allowing you to speak accurately and
confidently on the wide spectrum of leg disorders.
Four CME-certified (AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™) courses
are now available:
- Neurologic Leg Disorders
- Musculoskeletal Leg Disorders
- Vascular Leg Disorders
- Differential Diagnosis/Application of Knowledge
Within each course, two to three modules are presented that include individual questions
specific to leg disorders. You must complete each module within the specific
course to receive CME credit. To obtain CME credit for each activity, you must
complete the evaluation form for that activity. An email with this information
will be sent to the email address you used to register for LegDisorders.org.
For further information on how the CBL and this set of activities will work, it
is suggested that you read the instructions page (link below) prior to beginning
your first course.
